Course Description

This is an objective based course. The exact length of the course will depend on how long it takes to get through all of the objectives. A good ballpark estimate is 4-5 hours plus range time. Please do not make any important plans following class. We don’t believe in cutting corners, and the class will likely run all day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take a concealed carry class online?

Unfortunately online classes do not meet the statutory requirements. Florida law requires that every student safely handle and discharge a firearm (live fire) in the presence of a qualified instructor.

How old do I have to be?

We welcome anyone 18 years of age or older to join us. Keep in mind, if you are 18 to 20 the State requires that you wait until you turn 21 to actually apply for your permit. But don’t worry, your certificate never expires so make sure you hang on to it.

Does this qualify me to apply for my permit?

This is the only class you need! It meets and exceeds the State of Florida’s training requirements.

What do I need to bring?

Please be sure to bring:

  • State issued ID card or driver’s license
  • Handgun (if you have one) along with 50 rounds (1 box) of factory loaded target ammunition
    • Or you can rent one from us for just $10 – this covers the cost of ammunition
  • Wrap-around eye protection (safety glasses)
  • Hearing protection (ear muffs or ear plugs)
  • Full coverage shirt and shoes (no low cut shirts, tank tops, flip flops or sandals will be allowed on the range)
  • Food – Lunch, snacks, and drinks

Since this is Florida, and the weather is often unpredictable, you may also want to bring:

  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Raincoat

“The class was excellent! Very informative and easy to follow. I highly recommend taking this course!”
