Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers

Do I have to be 21 years old to take a class?

No, you do not have to be 21 to take any of our classes, but if you are not yet 21 you will have to wait until you are in order to submit your concealed carry permit application.

To attend one of our CCW classes we require you be at least 18 years old. We do not have a minimum age requirement for our Countering the Mass Shooter Threat Seminars.

How long is my firearm license valid?

The Florida Concealed Weapon and Firearm License is valid for 7 years. Be sure to renew your permit prior to the expiration date in order to avoid having to pay a late fee.

What do I need to bring to the CCW class?

Please be sure to bring your state-issued ID or driver license, wrap around eye protection (safety glasses), and hearing protection (ear muffs or ear plugs). Also bring your pistol if you have one, along with 50 rounds (1 box) of factory loaded ammunition. If you don’t have a handgun you may rent one of ours for $10 (we will provide the ammunition).

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover but we do charge a $3.00 convenience fee per transaction.

What is your refund policy?

As long as you cancel with at least 7 days advanced notice we will issue a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit, or full credit towards one of our future classes. Cancellations made with less than 7 days advanced notice are only eligible for credit towards one of our future classes.

Failure to attend a scheduled class (without notice) will result in the forfeiture of the class tuition.

Once a certificate has been issued no refunds or credits will be given.

What if I have a question not answered here?
